A Clearer Path Forward
Mold concerns can get complicated quickly.
CLEAR brings mold testing, whole-home inspection, remediation, independent verification and ongoing care into one process, guided by HomeCleanse.
Explore CLEAROne Problem Can Involve a Lot of Moving Pieces
Each part of the process answers a different question about the home.
CLEAR connects those pieces, with HomeCleanse helping guide the process from one stage to the next.

Understand What May Be Present
We compare information from your home with information from your body to see where the two may align and help inform what comes next.
The Dust Test uses PCR technology to screen settled dust from your home for 36 mold species.
The MycoTOX Profile from Mosaic Diagnostics analyzes a urine sample for 11 mycotoxins.
Together, these two datasets can be reviewed side by side to look for areas of potential alignment and help determine whether further investigation of the home may be appropriate.
We have information about what may be present.

What may be present in the home?
This may be where we begin if…
You feel different at home.
A health professional suggested looking at your environment.
There has been water damage.
You have concerns but don’t yet know what’s happening.
Correlate can give us useful information when the answer isn’t already clear.

Next: LocateFind Where It’s Coming From and Why
Finding mold gives us one piece of information. A whole-home inspection helps us understand the rest.
Whole-home inspectionA whole-home inspection asks
- 1Where did the moisture come from?
- 2How far did it travel?
- 3Are adjacent materials affected?
- 4Could another area be involved?
- 5What conditions allowed it to develop?
Now we understand what needs to be addressed.

Every Finding Shapes the Scope
Source, location and extent come together into the remediation scope: what needs to be addressed, and where.
Now we understand what needs to be addressed.
Next: Eliminate- 01Confirm the source is addressedBefore work begins, we check that the cause, like a leak or high humidity, has been repaired by the right professional.
- 02Address affected materialsRemove or properly address materials based on the remediation scope.
- 03Address the environmentClean the surrounding environment to address contamination that may have spread.
✓ All three addressed
Remediation Is More Than Removing What You Can See
Once we understand the problem, mold remediation can be built around what was actually found.
Work is contained before it begins. The work is complete.
Next: AttestIndependently Verify the Outcome
After remediation, WeInspect independently evaluates the environment against predetermined criteria to determine whether the remediation has met the requirements for post-remediation verification.

An Independent Check Before We Move Forward
Verification gives us objective information about the outcome before the project is treated as complete.

See CLEAR in a Real Home
Here’s one home, start to finish. Every home is different; this is what the process can look like when the pieces work together.
- STARTThe starting point
This home started at Locate, with a whole-home inspection.
- LLocate
A WeInspect inspector sampled 37 locations. Nine were marked top priority, across the bathrooms, living areas and attic, and the HVAC system was flagged too.
- EEliminate
Opening up the affected areas showed growth that couldn’t be seen from inside the room. HomeCleanse remediated according to the inspection findings and the agreed scope.
- AAttest
The first round of independent verification by WeInspect cleared 9 of the 15 areas tested and flagged 6. We went back, addressed those 6, and the retest passed.
- RRemain
The homeowner added Guardian monitoring.

Questions About the CLEAR Process
Don’t see yours? Our team can walk you through it.
Do I always need to start with Correlate?
No. Correlate is useful when we need more information about whether mold may be present. If you already know there’s a mold problem, we may begin with a whole-home inspection instead.
If I can see mold, why do I still need an inspection?
Visible mold tells us where you’ve found growth. It doesn’t necessarily tell us the source, how far the problem extends, whether adjacent materials are affected, or whether another area of the home is involved.
A whole-home inspection helps us understand the full picture before remediation is planned.
Who performs the inspection?
WeInspect performs the whole-home inspection, investigating moisture, potential sources, affected materials, building conditions, and other areas that may be involved. Their findings help establish the source, extent, and appropriate remediation scope.
Does HomeCleanse perform the post-remediation verification?
No. Post-remediation verification is performed independently by WeInspect so HomeCleanse is not the company evaluating its own remediation work.
What happens if the home doesn’t pass post-remediation verification?
The findings help identify what still needs attention. We come back and address those items at no additional cost, then the environment is evaluated again, until it passes.
What if I’ve already completed part of this process?
Bring us what you have.
Our team can review existing test results, inspection findings, remediation information, or other relevant documentation and help determine what information may still be needed.
Do I need to coordinate all of these companies myself?
No. Part of CLEAR is helping keep the environmental process connected so you understand what is happening, who is involved, and what comes next.
How long does CLEAR take?
Timing depends on the home, findings, scope of work, scheduling, and whether additional work is needed along the way. Once we understand your situation, our team can give you a clearer idea of what to expect.
Will I need to leave my home during remediation?
This can depend on the remediation scope and conditions in the home. Our team will explain what applies to your project before work begins.
What does CLEAR cost?
Cost depends on what your home needs and which parts of the process apply. Once we understand your situation, our team can walk you through what to expect.
Do you work in my area?
HomeCleanse works with homes across the United States and internationally. Tell us where you are and our team will explain what’s available for your home.
