During our discussion today, Shemane explained her experience with toxic mold and the lengths she had to go to detoxify her body. She became so ill from the toxins in her bloodstream that she almost lost her life.
We touched on the importance of home remediation- complete remediation- and how to help as many people as possible understand how air quality can affect their health. Without that knowledge, misdiagnoses can run rampant and individuals will stay sick. From constant brain fog to chronic fatigue and lethargy, symptoms span a wide variety and affect people in a huge way.
“I think all of us, even if you’re healthy, should be mindful of your air quality because you don’t want that to be the piece of the puzzle that starts to cause a health decline.”
The biggest goal is to educate people and bring awareness to the problem. Shemane went so far as to create a documentary discussing mold and how it can impact health.
We go over what proper testing and remediation look like, including treating not only every contaminate, but also the source of the problem in the first place. Clothes, belongings, and furniture are also a huge part of completely getting rid of mold, toxins, and bacteria. Those costs can add up. We spend some time highlighting insurance coverage and gaps that need to be addressed in the future.
